Change is needed, radically - speak your truth

Dr Ranjan Chatterjee

If ever there were a

need for change

.... watch yourself about complaining.

What you're supposed to do
when you don't like a thing is change it.
If you can't change it,
change the way you think about it.”
― Maya Angelou

Dr Stanislaw Burzynski  Curing cancer is one thing, but trying to find a cure while the world is trying to destroy you for having the nerve to do so, that’s a whole other mindfield. Over many years Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski, MD, PhD has repeatedly defeated both American state and federal agencies in their attempts to destroy him and his cancer-fighting invention, Antineoplastons.

But yet again, the authorities in 2018 had back in court. See video below.

We need to not only radically change the way we do medicine, but the medicine we do.

The conventional medical system, its model and processes need to change, it needs to be open to more than just a bio-medical, symptomatic, reductionist approach.

It needs to focus more on giving doctors time to explore and treat real causes, not on making snap decisions based on routing out a symptom.

The importance of the relationship with the patient must not only be recognised, it must be enacted upon.

For that we need doctors and nurses willing to genuinely listen and not try to exert power and control and lord it over us.

And as the system becomes more patient-centred, change will be demanded of the patient. To be an active participant in your health care, you are likely to have to radically change your mind.

For over a year, April 2014 - April 2015, I had both the honour and horror of being with my younger sister almost daily as she went through a diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer, treatments, and utimately her death.

Whilst our Scottish NHS is staffed by many talented, gifted and well-meaning people, they are constrained by outdated systems and practices, by an arrogance that the bio-medical model is all there is, and a closed minded approach to things such as the importance of emotion, nutrition, metaphysics and other vital approaches but equally a dislike of anyone, patient or relative, who dares to question things.

Watch the video to the left, it takes 17 seconds to start, and perhaps understand why many are so angry at our current paradigms of medicine both in the USA, where the film is based, and here in the UK.

"Many people, especially ignorant people, want to punish you for speaking the truth., for being correct, for being you. Never apologize for being correct, or for being light years ahead of your time. If you're right and you know it, speak your mind. Speak your mind even if you are a minority of one. The truth is still the truth." ~ Mohandas Ghandi
