You have to do the research. If you don't know about something, then you ask the right people who do.

Spike Lee

The T Factor – is about taking and owning responsibility for informing yourself about health and

well-being, about what may be causing any dis-ease and illness and how you can better inform yourself

of  ways, other than just traditional medicine, to help your body re-balance, come back into harmony,

deal with soul issues if appropriate, and bring you back to wellness.

There is such a plethora of information available these days, from websites, to apps, local health groups, national and international support groups, doctors and organisations who specialise in specific conditions, it can feel like a world of overwhelm. Where to begin? How to narrow down your search? It's easy to hand over our power to doctors. But in these days of increasing patient-centred medicine, we will rightly be required to become better informed.

Even if we ourselves are not specifically computer literate, we might be able to engage others to assist us in our searches for information on different routes to better health. But the more people we involved, the more we need to discern the truth of what they tell us.

The evidence we seek, the information we need, is there if we can only look in the right places. The key is YOU; if you do your own diligent research, you will be wiser as to what are the better choices for your own health and well-being.

Below are some sites I have found particularly informative, independent and not under the control of pharmaceutical companies, and where owners spend their own resources to carry out research.

You must take responsibility for satisfying yourself that any source is helpful to you. And be aware that some sites may charge for some of their services.

In a UK society where we have become used to an NHS that is free, we need to realise that there is no free lunch! Many NHS treatments, medications, and approaches come with side effects at physical and emotional cost to the patient. Sometimes we need to be prepared to find the financial resources to pay for services not available on the NHS. We may need to save up, prioritise how we spend our limited resources, make lifestyle changes.

Radical? Maybe so. But sometimes when it comes to health, we need to be creative in our choice of radical ways.

Brain Changing - new habits for old

Dr Joe Dispenza - a pioneer in the field of the science behind spontaneous remissions and how people heal themselves of chronic conditions and even terminal diseases. I have benefited hugely from his workshops, his books, and teaching materials. He is about exploring how you think, act, and feel, to create a new personal reality and how you would use your new found knowledge to make your own personal change. A wealth of new information awaits inside his website.

Natural News is a science-based natural health advocacy organization led by activist-turned-scientist Mike Adams, the Health Ranger. I visit the site daily and also daily receive its newsletters.

As its website says, "The key mission of Natural News is to empower consumers with factual information about the synthetic chemicals, heavy metals, hormone disruptors and other chemicals found in foods, medicines, personal care products, children's toys and other items.

Natural News covers holistic health, nutritional therapies, consciousness and spirituality, permaculture , organics, animal rights, environmental health, food and superfoods , and performance nutrition.

The site strongly criticizes drugs-and-surgery medicine, vaccines, corporate corruption, animal testing, the use of humans for medical experiments, the chemical contamination of foods, heavy metals in consumer products, factory farming and government corruption.

Natural News also warns its readers about science gone bad and frequently cites examples of science resulting in catastrophies that it calls "crimes" against humanity

Cancers  At a time in 2015 when my younger sister was dying from can cancer, this site was a massive source of information, inspiration, insight, and personal support. Chris Wark provided me with great wisdom and ways of looking at cancer that no one in our NHS would even discuss. He is an author, speaker and health coach and cancer survivor. He was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2003 at 26 years old. He had surgery, but instead of chemotherapy used nutrition and natural therapies to heal himself. Chris has made many appearances on radio and television including The Ricki Lake Show and The Lisa Oz Show, he was also featured in The Truth About Cancer docu-series and in the documentary film The C Word. Chris inspires countless people to take control of their health and reverse disease with a radical transformation of diet and lifestyle. was founded in 2012 by Matthew Price, a cannabis activist and internet entrepreneur. Medical Jane has quickly become the most comprehensive database for cannabis research on the net and the go-to spot for medical marijuana for patients, caregivers, and physicians alike.

Motivated by helping others, the Medical Jane team strives to cover the cannabis industry in a fair and responsible way. Be aware from a legal perspective that it is very USA focused but that in no way negates the power and value of the information it shares.

The site also contains information on medical marijuana and illnesses such as

  • Alzheimer’s Disease

  • Anxiety

  • Autism

  • Cancer – brain, breast, lung

  • Depression

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Neuropathic pain

  • Parkinson’s Disease

  • Stress

  • And more.

Ty Bollinger, founder of The Truth About Cancer, is a health freedom advocate, cancer researcher, and author. After losing several family members to cancer, he refused to accept the notion that chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery were the most effective treatments available for cancer patients. I’d agree; my sister opted for a toxic cocktail of chemotherapeutic drugs which quickly had disastrous consequences for her, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.  Ty began a quest to learn all he possibly could about other cancer treatments and the medical industry. What he uncovered was shocking. There is ample evidence to support the allegation that the "war on cancer" is largely a fraud and that multinational pharmaceutical companies are "running the show."

Fatigue - Adrenal Fatigue, Chronic Fatigue etc
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Adrenal Fatigue

SUMMARY  CFS is characterised by severe, chronic fatigue of six months or longer not

attributable to other known medical conditions. It is typically accompanied by a combination

of four or more other symptoms that have also lasted for six months or more alongside the

period of fatigue. Such symptoms include: headaches, impaired short-term memory or concentration, multi-joint pain without swelling or redness, muscle pain, sore throat, tender l

ymph nodes, unrefreshing sleep, and prolonged ill-being after exercise.

Prior to the onset of CFS there will have been a period of physical or emotional stress.

Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and adrenal fatigue (AF) are not one and the same, but

adrenal function, or mal-function, may play some role in CFS.

  • blood sugars

  • cancer tumours

  • cholesterol

  • diabetes

  • fat burning

  • how to read your body

  • nutrition

  • pain and inflammation

  • sleep

  • stress

  • thyroid issues

  • willpower over bread  etc etc

Dr Eric Berg

A truly comprehensive, informative resource to help you take charge of your health naturally without drugs and recover from Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome.

Again, an excellent resource about adrenal fatigue.

It asks, “Has stress and pervasive tiredness hijacked your life? Is caffeine your best friend? Is sugar, fat and salt your primary food group? Do you find it all just too much effort (even sex!)? Have you tried different fixes and maybe even different doctors to no avail? Do you even remember fun!?

If so you’re not alone and, most importantly, you’ve come to the right place.”

Dr. Wilson created  to help the many who suffer from too much stress and therefore adrenal fatigue. It includes highly informative resources on:-

  • An Adrenal Fatigue Questionnaire

  • Information about Adrenal fatigue

  • Information about Stress and Adrenal Function

  • Guidelines for Adrenal Recovery

Developed over decades of clinical practice and research.

If you are wanting to empower yourself through knowledge, practical skills and scientific data, this is for you. Why do NHS doctors and dieticians not tell us an nth of what is on this site, let alone refer us to the site?

          Mesothelioma NHS

In the UK about 2500 people a year are diagnosed with mesothelioma. It is also known as ‘diffuse’ or ‘malignant’ mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that affects the mesothelium, a thin membrane that lines the inner surface of:

  1. The chest wall, where it is known as the pleura

  2. The abdomen where it is known as the peritoneum

  3. The testicles

Mesothelioma is a malignant tumour caused by inhaled asbestos fibres; it forms in the lining of the lungs, abdomen or heart.

Symptoms can include shortness of breath and chest pain. The life expectancy for most mesothelioma patients is approximately 12 months after diagnosis. Treatment may improve prognosis and can include surgery, chemotherapy or radiation.

Whatever the source of your research, with all websites, newspapers, magazines, and other publications offering health advice, with every health professional you consult, with every new multi-million dollar TV ad for another proclaimed miracle drug, with any recommendation offered by traditional and natural physicians, with every Charity, it is essential to answer these questions above all others:

What is their real motivation?

Do they have an axe to grind?

Who pays them? Are they in the pockets of those with vested interests?

How well informed are they?

How up-to-date is their information?

If a medical practitioner, what do they do to keep themselves up-to-date and contemporarily informed?

How versed are they in your condition in particular?

Do they subscribe to only the conventional model or are they open to other modalities?

Only if the answers provide you with a sense of security, move on to the next important question: what are their qualifications? The primary trick of the existing medical establishment is to get you to forget that first question – their real motivation – by dazzling you with what appears to be magnificently trustworthy qualifications.

But clinical trials conducted by heavily biased "researchers," advertisements, and news stories carefully scripted to scare you into belief, highly polished corporate offices and corporate websites, and an extreme focus on whatever has the most profit potential – not lifesaving or life-enhancing potential – are not qualifications. They are scams.  Don't fall for them.

Just because it is an NHS website does not mean their information is based on the latest research. Anyone with diabetes or cancer knows this.

At the Radical Healer, which, remember, is run by a patient, not a doctor, we aim to provide the most up-to-date conventional and natural health information and resources we can find that will most benefit you and, at the same time,  exposing corporate, government, NHS, and mass media hype that diverts you away from what is truly best for your health and often to a path that leads straight into an early grave.

Create health- don't just wait till your il and then manage poor health, igns and symptoms.
